Notes from the Author
Death and Other Misconceptions was the first book I ever wrote. This book was originally published as two separate books under a different name. I wrote both books during high school, which was a difficult time in my life.
During the last half of high school and the beginning of college, I struggled with an eating disorder and depression. Writing these books was what kept me going, but they are also a reminder of what I went through. As I graduated from college and started experiencing health issues that brought me back to that dark place, I decided to take the books, as well as two others I had written, out of publication.
I didn’t write for a while following this, but, as I have worked to improve both my mental and physical health, I have learned to accept my past. It made me who I am today, and I am proud of the challenges I’ve been through and the person I’ve become.
Recently, I found some of the concept art and notes I created during the development of this book. Keep scrolling to check out some of my original vision for this book!
